Already dialed in on the luxury mobile-phone market, Vertu’s New Signature Touch is not just smart, but brilliant—and with a body to boot. Handmade in England, the phone features a 5.2-inch, high-definition LCD screen with a resolution of 428 pixels per inch and a scratch-resistant, sapphire-crystal face to protect it. Inside, a 4 GB Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor maximizes the speed of the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. Capturing images is also a thing of beauty thanks to a built-in, 21-megapixel camera with twin LED flash, 4K video capability, and Vertu’s own Image Signal Processor. A Dolby Digital surround-sound system with a V-rail sound bar at the phone’s base adds a soundtrack to memorable events.
Vertu’s attention to detail is also borne out by the proprietary Concierge, Life, and Certainty applications that come preloaded on the phone. With the Concierge app (complimentary for 18 months), users have round-the-clock access to a “lifestyle manager” that will make reservations, recommendations, or assist in any way, wherever and whenever the user needs these services. The networking possibilities are endless with the Life app, which provides unparalleled access to a selection of private clubs and invitation-only fashion, cultural, or sporting events. And finally, with all of this power and potential in the palm of the hand, the Certainty feature protects data and contacts with the most up-to-date security measures and support.
Available on October 16, Vertu’s New Signature Touch can currently be preordered at Harrods and select stores worldwide through October 8. Pricing for the phone starts at $9,000.
