Farbod Barsum’s popular Jackson Briefcase is now available in contemporary two-toned versions that pair sleek and glossy alligator skin (in navy or black) with supple ostrich leather (in anthracite gray). Sourced using sustainable harvesting and farming techniques, and dyed in chrome-free tanneries, the exotic leathers are of the utmost quality.
Each of the $40,000 bags is handmade in the United States and requires four to five days to complete. The hardware is hand-cast and polished, and the bags are finished using a couture, old-world technique called “the turned-edge detail,” which splices the edges and turns them inward to create a self-contained clean line that will not chip or crack. A matching, detachable shoulder strap allows each briefcase to double as a travel/messenger bag. And inside, the bags are fully trimmed with gray ostrich leather.
Jackson Briefcases are available at the Farbod Barsum boutique in Beverly Hills.
