Take a Helicopter Tour of California Wine Country

From September 1 through December 1, 2016, Flowers Vineyards & Winery’s Harvest Helicopter Butler will allow wine enthusiasts to experience the majesty of California from the sky. The 5-hour excursion begins at Sausalito heliport where guests will depart for the hour-long trip to Flowers’s Camp Meeting Ridge Vineyard, which is located 2 miles from the Pacific and is home to 18 acres of Chardonnay and 11 acres of Pinot Noir. Along the way, guests will fly over the Golden Gate Bridge and the historic Point Bonita Lighthouse (built in 1855 to help Gold Rush 49ers and other settlers safely navigate the Bay Area). On the luckiest of occasions, gray whales may even be spotted migrating north along California’s craggy coastline.

Waiting at the invitation-only winery—known for being one of the first to be planted on the Sonoma Coast in the early 1990s—is a locally sourced, seasonal menu paired with limited-edition wines from the Flowers Camp Meeting Ridge and Sea View Ridge vineyards. The visit also includes a guided tour of the winery’s historical grounds, which once served as a trading post for local Pomo Indian tribes and Russian fur traders.

Reservations are $7,200 for a minimum of four people.
